field flatteners

Good Evening
I'm trying to get sharp round stars as much to the edge of my images as possible.
I have tracked down a good one from Hotech for my Skywatcher 80ed (i've seen the results on a friends image)
I am using the Celstron f6.3 focal reducer when imaging thru my C8 but the edges of the image are really poor, lots of elongation and i hate cropping.
Any recommendation for a flttener that will give me a much better result?

regards
Carl

Carl, are you using the correct spacing between the reducer and the CCD? The reason I ask, is that elongation should not be occuring to that extent.

cheers
Terry
