Video tute.

I got this from the yahoo toucam group and it is a tutorial for the want of a better word given by Eric Ng of Hong Kong who has arguably the best images on the net, taken in real ordinary conditions. It is a WMV file and probably best if you have broadband. Very informative in particular relating to ringing problems with Jupiter.

I just watched the tutorial Exfso, very interesting. And i thought i had some light pollution/obstructed viewing problems!! Eric has some REAL problems with those. He's very good to listen to though & interesting how he praises the merits of 10" scopes towards the end.

Thanks for posting that link Peter. I've seen Eric's site and images before and have been amazed with what he could achieve in one of the most densely populated cities in the world. After having just watched that short I admire the guy even more.

For me the message is that you need good equipment and persistence. Being forced (by the heavy pollution) to concentrate on just a few planets probably helped Eric get so good at imaging them. Deep space must be non-existent in HK.

Eric's Jupiter shots show incredible detail. They are a must see, so if you haven't seen them before, check them out here.
