NGC2867 "Herschel's Folley"

NGC 2867 in the Southern Constellation of Carina .Taken with 110 lights at 5 secs .19 Darks , no flats or Bias. Optolong L-Pro Filter. Edit in Star Tools Total of 9 min 10 sec.The Astrobin version is less cropped than this one . I couldn't make my mind up which one I prefer .
On Fools day 1834 John Herschel discovered this Planetary Nebula. John was almost fooled into thinking it was a planet. Hence the named I have called it
I note it has a similar colour to Uranus???A quick search of Astobin found no other images of this celestial wonder so, is it rarely imaged?. Enjoy

Good one
Under high mag it looks like a blue ear.
Is that due to seeing or processing etc?
Cheers

PS just googled it,in the images it looks like an amoeba,
And yes it does look like the shape in your pic.

NGC2867 Herschels “Folley”

I’m seeming to have reasonable success with less nebulous DSO’s. @Ron . I thought so tooThe Hubble photo included in Sky Safari Pro shows just that . With frilly extras of course . @ Paulyman have I found a gap in the “Market”

A nice image Wes, I look at 2867 often, usually at 320 times with a 12" Dob.

Very nice blue Planetary and quite clear. I imaged NGC 2438 a while back and it looks very similar. Some very interesting features and so good to look at.
