Hi all,
Here is my latest image of a target I'm calling the southern cat's paw.
4.5 hours of Ha, 1 hour each of RGB. Taken with a Samyang 135 f2, on a Skywatcher AZ-GTi with an ASI1600mm-c. NINA for capture, and Pixinsight for processing.
Hope you like it!
Logan, I think your red balance is way off - the black of space is tinted red.
I ran it through PI Screen Transfer and it balanced it back to normal looking. You can then use ColorSaturation to boost the remaining colours selectively etc.

Thanks, I think it may be a tad red but also it is a very Ha dense region. I personally prefer this look.
Forgive me if this is a well know nebula, but I'm interested to know it's designation?
I haven't been doing this very long, so still come across new deep space objects all the time. I tend to learn about them as I image them - probably the wrong way around, but I enjoy the sense of "discovery".

Hi,
Unfortunately I can't exactly remember the designation, but you can try platesolve the image with nova.astrometry.net
