Messier Marathon

I was just commenting on my M4 image, and I mentioned I only had another 100 Messiers to go. But on further checking I have actually imaged about 15 Messier objects, but there could more.
I may have saved images under the NGC catalogue number and not yet cross checked whether they have a Messier number as well.

So I was wondering has anyone had a go at imaging all the Messier objects visible in the southern hemisphere?

EDIT: Perhaps something to do on a Moon lit night (you could do Globs under full moon), just to say " been there done that".

Cheers
Bill

There’s probably only a handful that aren’t visible from Brisbane’s latitude, given a dark, clear northern horizon...at least for visual. Lucky imaging would surely bag you most of the low altitude targets...a couple of the galaxies might be pretty challenging though.

Go for it Bill - look forward to seeing more
