Jupiter from Melbourne this week

Hi everyone,

Some good seeing this week in Melbourne - it did not last though! But given Melbourne weather anything is possible.

In hindsight should have also woken up later in the morning to shoot Mars - so lets see what happens in the coming weeks with the seeing conditions.

Clear skies.

John Kazanas.

Now , that's a Jupiter image to be proud of, makes most of our humble efforts pale in comparison, excellent stuff. Look forward to seeing more, Mars included.

Great shot John

Although it looks like it could do with pulling the green back a touch (but it could be my screen...)

Well done.

I was out earlier that evening attempting some lunar imaging. The seeing was not too bad for the R channel but quite poor for the B. The Moon did not get as high as Jupiter though.
