-7 mag. Iridium Flare - Brisbane, Sunday 15 March, 18:33:50

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but Heavens Above is predicting a magnitude -7 Iridium Flare for Brisbane tonight (15 March) at 18:33:50. (Actual magnitude / time at your location will depend on where you lie relative the optimum path.)

-7: that must be about as bright as an Iridium Flare can get - has anyone ever had notification of a brighter one?

The brightest Iridium flare I've seen listed on HA (but not actually witnessed) was -8.4.
Pretty rare though - everything has to line up just right & at the right time.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Clear sky and very easy to spot - was extremely bright. The kids and wife enjoyed it too.

Thanks from me too.
Managed to spot it despite being distracted by lots of bats.
