Crescent moon over the Mountains.

A very thin moon only a few hours old late one afternoon, noticed it setting as traveling along and old country track and thought it worth a bit of effort setting gear up to capture an image.

A very peaceful shot, well done. You were there at the right place and time to see an end of a new moon at the end of a new day. Nice colours in the sky, was this caused by smoke haze?

thank you Leon and Michael.

Yes there was a little bit of smoke in sky,I had a fair idea of the moon stage and calculated in advance the vantage point this track offered might work out well for this capture, but had less time than I thought to set up.

A very calming image. It would make a nice print for a wall.

Greg.
