Finally some decent Obs

After a few months of what could be generously described as intermittant observing I have managed 4 nights in a row at the eyepiece!

So far have managed
27/1
NGC2477
Ru56
NGC 2546
NGC 2568
NGC 2579
28/1
IC2448
NGC3211
NGC3136
NGC 2775
29/1
NGC 2925
NGC 2910
NGC 2371-72
NGC 2894
M104
Saturn
NGC 2392 Eskimo Neb
30/1
NGC 1807
NGC 1817
NGC 2423
NGC 2818
In the course of these nights I have alos had a look at NGC 3115, Jupiter, M1, M42 of course, Omega Cent, NGC 2128 (Centaurus A) 47 Tuc, NGC 2070 (Tarantula) and a bunch of other sights that I haven't made notes on. A full report will follow when I have typed it up.
Would love to get out again tonight but must get some sleep

Malcolm

Well done Malcolm! You're going great guns. There are some fine objects in your list there. You might need some shorter naglers to get stuck right into the Eskimo and some other little gems in there. Put IC418 on your list of planetaries - it's a really nice one to linger over at high power.

Thanks Dean
Have spent a bit of time at 226x on the Eskimo (13mm Nag with 2x barlow) would love to get a shorter Nag to get better view s but must get the $$ in the fund first!
IC 418 has appeared in my notes a couple of times most recently November 5th. Must have another look at it as it should be nicely placed ATM

Thanks Paddy. Finding time to type up properly proving a bit diificult. Just came in from a short little session, skies aren't bad as I can see M44 by naked eye. but had to cut session short to only about 1 hour as have to work tomorrow. It's about 6degrees outside which is a change, no mozzies at least. Hope you have a clear night up your way.
Made the first obs of NGC 5128 for the year tonight, hope to get some good ones under the belt at Snake Valley!

You have been a busy boy.

Did you remember to breath?

That's quite a bonanza, Malcom.
