Jupiter 7" refractor

I did some imaging on Tuesday night with fairly steady skies but unfortunately the jetstream was raging up higher. The first set of captures were pretty good but the seeing got worse as time went on.

Astro-Physics 175, ASI 224, 3 minute capture, best 25% of frames.

Edit: Just saw Stefan's image below. Must have been pretty much the same time.

That's a very nice image of Jupiter, should be with a scope like that. Not much difference between yours and Steffans' image for quality, both excellent.

Very good result from what I consider minimum aperture for planetary imaging.
The seeing was dominated by small convection cells that evening and a small aperture had the advantage of looking through far fewer cells than a 16" aperture. It was clear to me at the time that a 12" aperture would have outperformed my 16" that night.
