NGC 4755 ZWO ASI 1600mm

The Jewel Box, is an open cluster in the constellation Crux (the southern Cross). This cluster is one of the youngest known, with an estimated age of 14 million years. It has a total integrated magnitude of 4.2, its about 6,440 light years from Earth, and contains just over 100 stars.
The cluster has many blue type stars but has 1 red supergiant star, with is about 600x bigger than out sun.

Lovely and colourful!
Are you using a flattener with your scope? The stars are looking quite reasonable in the corners.

Hi Colin

Yes, I use a orion field flattner, if I don't I get bad coma in all the edges. Its a problem with the 6"RC.

Good one and I agree with Colin that it presents a well corrected field. Certainly is a very colourful field of stars.

Had to think about this one for a few days, because you've pushed it harder than we might, but your interpretation is very valid and very fine.

Well done.

That's a pretty good effort for a first time with mono. Nice colour and star shapes.
