Dark Tower - final version

Here is the completed Dark Tower Nebula. I have added another 3 hours of Ha but couldn't add anymore LRGB due to the moon. I think this version has the Ha blended a little better than previously. A larger version is on Astrobin.

Cheers, Kevin

You've found Mr Squiggle's rocket ship ! We can see his pencil nose sticking out of the side of the rocket about half way up the left hand side.

(For the youngsters, Mr Squiggle was a much loved ABC TV puppet who came from the moon in a rocket, and completed kids' drawings on the impatient Mr Blackboard from 1959 to 1999).

Very well photographed and processed. Colours are beautifully blended with the Ha.

Thanks Mike n Trish. Now that you've pointed out Mr Squiggle I can't unsee him. Perhaps that stream of Ha to the left is just a squiggle waiting to be turned into a picture...

Yep, definitely a rocket ship bursting at warp speed through a red cloud of gas (I am also old enough to remember Mr. Squiggle ). Nicely done Kevin

Lovely image to scour in full resolution. Also old enough to recall Mr Squiggle and the blackboard “Hurry up, hurry up...”. Congrats on the top pick too mate

Looking good Kevin - I wonder is slightly smaller stars would help make the Ha structure more visible?
Nice work

Very nice Kevin, the stars have such good colours throughout the entire field!
You've done a good job with blending in the Ha, it gives the appearance of having a stronger Ha signal but without the obvious adding of it that shows up in some images.

Thanks all for the comments. I'm starting to like the dark side. I might try something else dark and broadband when the moon wanes...
