Stargate

Hello all,

Following on from my previous image and waiting for the aurora that was not to be. On top of Mt Pilot after rain there are a few fresh water pools in depressions in the solid granite. With the Milky Way overhead and the Zodiacal light streaming up from the horizon I couldn't resist jumping in front of the camera.

*I pushed this one a lot further than what I normally would, to really go for a Sci-Fi movie poster type of image. As soon as I saw this circular pool with the stars reflecting in it, 'Stargate', for some reason popped straight into my head and I could see exactly what I wanted to do with it. I realise it won't be to everyones tastes, but it's what I felt at the time.
