Low-res optical spectrum of Uranus

Thought I'd try this tonight, a low-resolution optical spectrum of Uranus taken with a DSLR, 200mm lens and Star Analyser grating (SA100). It shows the continuum of sunlight reflection pierced by deep troughs of methane (CH4) absorption. The methane in Uranus' upper atmosphere is what gives the planet its distinctive colour.

Thanks to Jim Ferriera for the inspiration to do this! Here's a link to his excellent spectrum:

Rob,
Well done mate!
You work continues to show how science can be achieved with just a grating and a DSLR.
