Anybody ever seen this in WA?

...the Staircase to the Moon, a phenomenon during certain conditions between March and October, where the moonlight creates an optical illusion of steps leading to the moon. From Broome ...

Many times, having both worked there , and visited my daughter and her family who lived there for many years. They have a very large tidal range,
and when the tide is a long way out, and the moon fairly low in the sky, it
looks like a ladder when the light reflects off of the shallow water in
between the ripples in the sand[which are exposed]. The ripples run parallel to the shoreline, so the reflection of the moon on the water
has many little gaps in it like the steps of a ladder.

Guys, I was just referencing from where I heard this idea. This is not spam, or meant to be an advert.

Just googled "Staircase to the Moon" plenty of nice images to see, apparently it's quite a famous phenomena.

Bob,

Went to Broome 18 months ago to see it.

Amazing. Was on my bucket list.

I was surprised that there were many tourists there to see it as well, so it’s become quite well known

Loved Broome and the whole experience.

Paul

Not quite a staircase, more of a footpath, but there is a composite shot taken from our campsite at Elanda Point (SE Qld) back in 2007 on my Pentax *istDS.

Cheers
