Dew heater strap size

This is probably a silly question, but is it possible to use larger heater straps on smaller scopes than they're intended for?

I have two scopes, one a small refractor (600mm ED80) the other an RC8 and if possible I'd like to avoid buying a strap for each, so if I can just use the one for the RC8 on the refractor that'd be ideal.

For sure...at AstroFest I was using a dew strap for my C11 wrapped around the objective of my 70mm refractor to keep the ice off worked well, at about 1/3 power

Awesome, thanks guys! My controller just arrived today, so I'm all set there, I'll just go grab the larger strap. Thanks again :-)
