My best Saturn so far

My best image of Saturn so far. GSO 10" F4 newtonian, HEQ 5 Pro, Pentax K-5, 7.5mm eyepiece projection, 1600 frames stacked in registax, finished off in Photoshop. The Pentax video is very poor with Saturn. Going to have to get a real planet cam soon.

Need the time to learn Pipp and autostakkert.

Nice one Kevin, there you go, you've got your shot of Saturn at last! With planetary imaging you just have to keep at it, there'll be many failures along the way but eventually one night will come along and everything will work. Looks like you had one of those nights. You've captured some nice banding and colour on the cloud surface. Look forward to seeing some more.

Thanks Alex and Michael. Seeing last night was good compared to previous nights. Some nights I couldn't even see Casini's.
