Putting a logo/name on a photo

Hi Guys, I have seen it done however not quite sure how to go about making a logo of sorts with my name etc and putting/embedding it onto a photo.

Dose one need special software or is it an easy process, some suggestions would be helpful please.

If you host your images on Astrobin they have an option to mark your images.

Do it in Photoshop, Leon, using the text tool and then save your image. No need for other software if you already have Photoshop.
