Thanks for the 'heads-up'. I have been following this project since the start.

Here is a pic of the now empty GMT building on Mt Stromlo and some of the remnants of the last upgrade (now garden features at the mountain..)

Just watched this on ABC iView 'Australia Wide'. Great work's being done by volunteer amateur astronomers. Hope the project attracts support.

For people who want to skip other great topics, the GMT segment is just under 7 minutes, from 21:00 mark.

Apparently will be on for about a week.
