Eclipse from New Caledonia

Hi there !
As we are a bit more east than you in Australia, this eclipse took place just before sunrise, so, as soon it reached totality, the Moon instantly vanished in dawn light and we didn't see the nice red Moon .
However we enjoyed a nice eclipse with a quite fine weather .

Here are some widefield views shot above Noumea haven.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Marc

Great photos Marc. I particularly like the first one with the glistening seas in the foreground and the ghostly clouds illuminated by moonlight.

Cheers

Dennis

Thank you all for your kind comments
David, yes, the scenary was wonderful and it was easy to point and shoot.
The only difficulty has been to wake up at 4.30 AM

Oh, I would like to say many big thanks to IIS team and especially Mike and Terry for their eclipse alert email sent on last tuesday.
The "How-To's" page about the eclipse has been very helpful !!
Merci Iceman

Great settings. I just love the first shot although it's not the full eclipse. It just works. The clouds add to the scale of the whole thing with the morning sun in the back. very cool. The sequence is very nice too. One of my favorites eclipse shots so far.
