Great thread and really informative! Diego I wonder why you went with a Paracorr? Is it the type 2 minus the tuneable top and with the imaging adaptors? In regards to learning about the camera and it’s sweet spot what info/website/advice did you find most useful? Lots on cloudynights it seems with some intereting tables in regard to seeing conditions, f ratio and exposure times. Did you go with the ASI1600 as a match to the scope (seems the 10” f4 would have a resolution of around .78”/pixel)?

Sorry for adding more Qs! I’m wondering, given the focal length of most Newts are quite long, whether shorter scopes might better suit some cameras? My limited understanding suggests in great seeing an ED80 might risk undersampling say (with a 3.8 micron chip) but a 10” f4 Newt might risk oversampling in poor conditions, which then throws emphasis back on the quality of the mount and guiding?? The 10” f4 thus seems in pretty good territory with a good mount and stable guiding (well the pictures prove it anyway!!).
