Mounting ED72 on C8 Evo

I thought its about time I use the C8 for imaging now that Ive got widefield refractor (ED127 f7.5 to Esprit 100ED). How do I go about mounting the ed72 for guiding piggy backed on the c8? I'm confused as to what adapters, what dovetails and all the connecty bits required, I've scoured bintel but they have too many things with too little descriptions.

thanks,
Tony

Very quick end to the thread aha. I've decided to simply go the side by side mount method. That way I can use it on my esprit as well and not have to muck about with mounting the ed72 on the esprit.

Hi, couldn’t you just remove the dove tail , attach some tube rings to the dovetail , put the tube rings + dovetail on the telescope , reattach it to the mount then use the tube rings secondary attachment holes to attach the other scope.

What I did was drill a set of holes in a square piece of alloy plate and screw it down using the holes on the top of the Esprit mount rings. Then you can screw a new dovetail puck onto the plate and mount whatever you want on it
