so I figured out how to get DDS to run on my external hard drive and it agreed to stack big piles of subs at 3x drizzle...took a long long time..over three days to stack all my old data for the Running Chicken Nebula but I wanted too see if 3x drizzle makes things better..well I am not sure having done it but I think so as some of this data was terrible..some poor focus in there..however there is about 12 hours of stuff in this image and as usual I have played with it for so long I have lost all objectivity..but each time I learn a little so hopefully its not time entirely wasted.
gear..80mm Espirit, 1600 zwo mono, heq5 pro, dark sky, short exposures high gain unguided..DSS, Startools Photoshop, Gimp and a second run in Startools to see if I could further reduce noise..no darks or flats.
I probably have 20 final versions of this but I think this one is best...maybe..the second one..but the first I can see a face..it looks like me in the morning.
Hi Leon
It's funny ..I think working on images for so long you lose the ability ..I do..to remember what they looked like through an eyepiece..I get preoccupied trying to get detail and that approach stuffs things I am afraid..but I enjoy it ..but as I said I am learning something..what do they say..you learn by your mistakes.
As to your question..you tell me....it's me with no make up ...you can't see the face in the first image?
