Thanks for the kind comments.

This was taken on a horrible grey winters day. The subject, other than a slight exposure adjustment, is pretty much SOOC with minimal sharpening, as I didn't want to lose the soft look in the plumage.

The messy background with it's patches of blown out sky eventually got the better of my attempts to tame it and after a lot of playing around I decided to replace it.

Nikon D800, Tamron 70-200 f2.8 at 200mm, f5, 1/500sec at ISO800 from about 4m so fair crop
