I'm having problems using my Philips ToUCam Pro on my current laptop - doesn't like Windows 10. If it can work with Windows 7 or earlier, I might find an old laptop that could be compatible.

It was so simple to use - I wouldn't want to try a dedicated imager with loads of settings to adjust and a new operating system to learn. :-(

Good and bad news....
The older Philips ToUcam is no longer supported in Win10.....

However it is possible to re-flash the firmware in the series 880 ToUcam to the later SPC900NC version which is still recognised by Win10.

Why not go for a ZWO ASI120MC?

They are cheap and work much easier than mucking about with weird drivers etc. But if you want to use old Toucams grab VirtualBox (free) and install your own virtual pc to run it from? So you can run a winXP machine inside your Win10 mess.

Weird intro and first post.
I've seen this exact paragraph elsewhere.
