M1 & ngc 2020 through the 150ED

Two more from last night, both at f/5.2 with the Apex .65 reducer.

M1 was the first image for the very warm night so I kept the subs to 2 minutes x 20. All of the images are on the short side since I wanted to test the scope on a range of objects, so I'm happy with how they turned out.

NGC 2020 (the green ring) and nearby objects are part of the LMC.

I know nothing about photography Tony, but you've got some really nice images being produced. Very subtle and understated, to my very uneducated eye.

Thanks Patrick. It's fun to pull these objects out of the darkness and show them to family and friends. Imaging maintains my interest even while light pollution increases.

Really amazing with only 2 min subs !

But how did you get both tiny objects (NGC1952 and 2020) so big ?
A 150mm f/5.2 = 780mm * 0.65 = 507mm FL.

Thanks guys. I was surprised by how well they turned out - looking forward to getting more time on these. It's looking clear and cool tonight but with the moon so I'm figuring out which of my half-done images to complete.

The scope is 150mm aperture and natively f/8. The .65 reducer brings it to f/5.2, so the images were taken at 780mm.
