Sh2-308

I've seen some wonderful renditions of this, so had a go earlier this month. Here's 30hrs - OSC camera (ASI071) with a duoband filter (optolong l-extreme) from Sydney.

Edit: just saw miles lovely wide field version ....

Cheers Chris

Hi Chris

Capturing and rendering a sphere to reveal it as 3 dimensional space
is not an easy thing to do.
And your rendition has achieved that.

Well done Rocketman!

Thanks all. It's amazing how 3D it looks. What an bizarre structure!
I had to get a lot of data before the noise became manageable - suppose that's telling me to go mono. But I'm stubborn (and cheap)

Awesome work Chris, some serious dedication there at 30hrs & it has paid dividends on this difficult and faint DSO.
Well done mate.
Cheers,
Tony
