M20, Omega Centauri and M83

After about three years of not having the time or inclination because of work and health issues, I have finally started to devote some time to this hobby. I have a lot to learn so please don't withhold any thoughts or opinions. Get stuck right in.

All images taken with a QSI583wsg and Lodestar through a 10" newt at f3.8.

M20 - LRGB:90, 45, 45, 30 with 60 minutes of Ha yet to be added. Following calibration the only post processing has been some levels and curves, and some hue and saturation in PS.

Omega Centauri - LRGB: 60, 30, 30, 30. Same post processing as M20.

M83 - LRGB:90, 45, 30, 30. Fumbling post processing in Pixinsight (I only have the trial version at this stage) then with similar PS processing as the above images.

Good to see you back at it again, they turned out well for what I imagine was a rusty start back into astro imaging. Did you shoot M83 last? I just feel your focus may have shifted as M20 looks sharper or were you more aggressive with the noise reduction? Either way, you can still be proud of these shots as you venture back into sleepless nights!

Looking at the Triffid, it looks like your channels aren't aligned accurately since you can see colour separation in the stars. Did you do staralign in pixinsight or set a reference frame in DSS?

Nebulosity 4. But it would be easy for me to get something wrong. I have the trial version of PI. I’ll try their alignment process.
