I'm like this with comets. They seem to magnetically attract clouds. I've had the enire sky clear except for one cloud which is right on top of the comet. What's with that?
But have you ever noticed that Orion always seems to be in the clear when there are clouds about? Well the Belt and sword stars are. Always seems to happen for me for some reason.
I think I will prepare the cameras and watch the thundery showers bypass me, and cover the conjunction.
Guess what the thundery showers bypassed me today and the leftovers are covering the conjunction. Hows that for forecasting, I can actually work out where the clouds will be I did however see an Iridium flare in a clear spot.
Drove 800 odd kms to find a break in the cloud - didn't find one though. Well at least we can log on here and find someone with a sadder story - maybe?
The usual Superiour Non kodak camera the fantastic Pentax *istDS and a B***dy big 50-500 lens.
It rained on and off most of the day, with a small thunderstorm in the afternoon, then cleared and I we got the view you saw in the pictures, then the cloud came over again. I think we were looked after!!
