First Light -TSOIII

Just thought I share....
Managed to get the Genesis/ Spectra-L200 and Al's reticule/ Lodestar sitting on the NEQ6 mount to all come together...
Managed to get some "first light" spectra of Sirius (for calibration), Rigel and Procyon.
A small step for merlin - a giant leap for local spectroscopy!
A little fine tuning on slit focus and final alignment of the mount will allow semi-remote operation (via Teamviewer to the study)
Stage 2 is to get the C11 combo operational......
Majic does happen.
(The attached image is the Balmer Series down towards the Balmer Discontinuity for Sirius - the line at 3934 is the CaK line between H ep and H8)

Terry,
The imaging camera is the ATiK 314L+
I was pleasently surprised to see it get so fat into the UV.....
That was also with the "standard" 600 l/mm grating at f5 (!!?)
