fornax cluster of galaxies

I love this part of the sky, first time with the vixen Newt. 60Da. MPCC , I know it ain't hot **** but I still get a massive thrill each I look at a galaxy picture.
It's like falling in love with astronomy all over again.

Great capture Graham!
I know that I'm thrilled and over the moon every time I get to image something (or try to image) no matter how bad it is... and trust me, I've plenty of bad ones

Cheers!
Rocky

Fornax

Thanks Rocky and Lindon, to me, galaxies have that special wow factor that just spins the mind when you think about it. I mean, wow, the Universe is so huge and we have all these 'other galaxies" ! The first time I saw that picture of the Hubble rich field was like the first time I held one of my kids, you can feel life telescoping down into one singularity in the soul then reach out with warm arms encompassing distances so huge - even the oft used metaphor of grains of sand on a beach seems to bleach in the light of a billion other Suns.
Sorry for the poetic turn, just had the most wonderful day with kids and grandma and friends. And tassie salmon, wine etc .Feel most blessed now. Now often can I say that.
