Galaxy Vista from NexDome South Coast

Giving my new NexDome a workout due to the continuing great weather and clear nights on the NSW south coast

Here’s some galaxies capture over the past 3 nights

NGC 5128 Centaurus A Galaxy
M104 Sombrero Galaxy
NGC 3521 Bubble Galaxy

Scope: 8” f5 Bintel GSO newt
Mount: EQ6-R pro
Camera : ZWOASI2600MC set in Ascom to Highest Dynamic Range (Gain 0 ) cooled to -12C
No filters
All images 3 minute dithered guided subs
Integration 2 hours to 3 hours
PHD2 Multistar guiding 0.70 to 0.80 arc sec total rms
Payload 15kg
Goto and Nav EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
Framing focus and capture APT
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 Linear OSC data set

Included some cropped version to view fine detail and to show how good these new generation OSC cameras can perform in a basic entry level GSO newt

Comments most welcome
Thanks

Great images! I especially like the detail you’ve captured of the dust lane in Centaurus A.

Wonderful images Richard.

I particularly like NGC3521.

I have been stunned by a 60 second Ha image that looks like a regular 10 minute sub.

Greg.

Looks like you are off to a great start in the new obs Martin. With those dark skies and plenty of targets to shoot you be Livin' la Vida Loca.

Thanks All
Appreciate your comments
Yes I’m fortunate to be able to image from Bortle 3 skies in the new Dome on the South Coast but on the other side of coin I’m still based in Sydney so I still image under Bortle 8 skies with neighbours lights blasting me form either side
So one extreme to the other
Makes AP very exciting and challenging
Cheers
Martin
