Fun with star diffraction spikes on a Refractor

Hi Folks,
Had some fun with Esprit100 last night. Went to Spotlight earlier and bought a Embroidery Hoop. They have lots of different sizes and one fitted perfectly over the Esprit dew cap. I stretched some wires across the hoop so see if I could get some nice star diffraction spikes to see if it added any aesthetic enhancements.

Result attached:

60 mins (6*600 Sec ASI183MC) with Astronomik L1 Luminance filter.

Home made newt spikes, nice touch. I'll loan you the RC for some real spikes

Great pic Chris, last night was great here except for that bit of cloud around 8:45. I've got something coming up, just need more time and one less palm tree.
