The gas giants are back

Montage of Jupiter and Saturn just before sunrise this morning. Just high enough to start getting decent images again.

Saturn's ring angle with less tilt than last year. We can see the bottom of the planet protruding below the rings more. Image clarity should gradually improve toward August.

Skywatcher 300PDS, 12" F5 Newtonian, Svbony SV305, Svbony barlow. Captured in Sharpcap, stacked in AS!3, levels in Photoshop.

Great catch, I especially like the Saturn shot. The changing ring tilt is showing well

Thanks all. The early morning shots are hard and only going to get worse when it gets cold outside. lol.

When it get cold outside? In Mackay????

Try coming down to Melbourne and imaging early morning. Bring a warm coat and hat

Haha! Yeah I know we are sooks when the temp drops below 24. Yeah nah you can have Melbourne winter weather. Went to Sydney once in winter, nearly froze.
