New transient (possible nova) in Scorpius needs spectrum

Way too faint for me to get a spectrum although I did image it with a DSLR last night. Reported at discovery mag 10.1 U - I found a reddened object which was mag 11.6 in the green channel (~V). It was significantly brighter in the red channel.

Swift has done observations which are consistent with it being a classical nova but it needs a spectrum. Here's a link to my image:

A low-res spectrum has been obtained by K Ayani and S Maeno, Bisei Astronomical Observatory (BAO), Ibara Okayama, Japan. It indicates the object is a nova in early phase.

Just an update, the Scorpius nova has been confirmed, as has another new one in Cygnus (low in the north for southern Australia):
CBET 3842 : 20140402 : NOVA CYGNI 2014 = PNV J20214234+3103296
CBET 3841 : 20140402 : NOVA SCORPII 2014 = TCP J17154683-3128303

The Cygnus nova, like the Scorpius one, is much too dim for me to attempt a spectrum. Good luck to anyone trying!
