a 32" f3 Newt. - Dream Telescope

Wow - look at this:
http://www.dreamscopes.com/pages/pro...t-astro-32.htm

32 = 813mm Newtonian f3 - yes f3 - from Dream Astrographs.
US$ 117,500 = A$ 160975.

All sandwich construction primary & secondary.
All carbon fiber 38 diameter truss.
Weight = 104 kgs.
2440mm focal length.

That's made with all sandwich lightweight fast cool down mirrors.

Yes - at that price it is just a dream

Yes - you have a point in Melbourne.

I will stick with my new 10" f4 Newt. for a long while yet.

The weather here is terrible for Astronomy -
almost every night is cloudy or has poor seeing.

Yes - I think Melbourne is too close to the sea.
We get turbulence in the air where the sea air meets the air from inland.
