CG4 with more data and different processing

I reviewed the previous image I produced and realized that I had not processed the image as well as I had thought. I also have collected a few more hours of luminance data.


I think it now shows the dust better and the Ha data better. Colour balance of the stars also looks consistent now too.

To me it is reminiscent of the sand worm gulping up space

That's a lovely rendition of the monster. It's clearer now.

I've never noticed the very distinct "eye" above the huge gaping mouth. Star colours remain very pretty.

Yeah I like this one much better. The first image was good but did not extract all the data you had. This one does. Its an odd area really with the Ha and the dust a galaxy that looks like its being eaten.

An excellent image.
