Ha P.S.T. solar pics 24-9-2016

Hello, took the opportunity to try imaging the sun again with my p.s.t. on Saturday morning. No prominences were added for these pics as something i tried with them didn't work out. Still haven't overcome the problem of the bright patch despite trying my best to maneuver the camera and image to the best position. I don't think a flat (yet to be tried) will help me because i deliberately move the disc across the fov during capture to help eliminate the newton rings, therefore moving the bright spot as well. I'm also combining two images here to get the full disc. Having fun trying in the mean time. A pic from spaceweather.com is in there for comparrison of sun spots. Also a pic of my p.s.t. attached with rubber bands and no nose piece to achieve focus.
Hardware: ASI 120mm, equatorial mount, coronado p.s.t.
software: autostakkert2, registax, GIMP2

Nicely results wth a PST. You can deal with the uneven lighting by doing an artificial flat in PS. It is a good backup in case your actual flat does not work well or if you don't do a flat.

See attached result using a blur mask of 20 pixels and the multiply option in layers.
