A little on the noisy side but that's a great effort from a 5 inch scope. You've managed to pull out some fine detail and the processing looks good, with nice tight stars. It's a thumbs up from me!

That's an excellent shot of the Helix Ben. Nice sense of 3D depth with lovely subtle details.

Very nicely done

Very nice image Ben, does have an almost 3D feel to it. Like looking at a brightly lit hole in the darkness of space. The entry of a worm hole !

Looking good overall but well worth experimenting with one of the many noise reduction options out there.
Eg: Topaz NR, Nik Define, PS, Noel Carboni Actions etc.
nice details coming through already, and the Helix needs a lot of exposure!

How can stars be white?

Really great shot!
A simple (?) question regarding the filter: Why are the stars white? Given the 2 narrow bandwith notches, I would have thought the stars might be light purple or lavender.
I'm very interested to know how this works!

As for why stars that color I can’t explain
I just processed images & that’s what I got but the filter is great for my setup

I am imaging this same target using a L-enhance filter and have processed an image with just under 5 hrs. data. At 62x10min sub I feel like there is so much more details that should still available in the raw data. Just curious as I'm planning to get at least another 10hrs on this target and now I am not sure how far I should go ?

Anyways good effort

That's a great image, there is a teeny bit of noise but not as bad as you might think, some colour noise reduction and maybe invest in topaz AI but use it sparingly. The L-Extreme rally tames those stars great effort.
