M42 & M43 Second go

Standard Candle M42 & M43 . Taken with Olympus PEN E-PM2 16MP Live MOS Sensor .... Scope 20" "ZAMAR" F5 at prime focus. 170 images at 2 seconds each.(5.6 minutes) 15 darks . No flats ISO 1600 . Stacked using Sequator and options. No other editing . I'm much happier with the colour. I feel it would benefit with say 30 minutes of data but the way the weather has been that could take awhile..... The seeing was good that night so most members of the Trapezium are seen. Also as an added bonus Herbig -Haro Objects HH524 , HH204 , HH203 Comments welcome.

That's a very cool shot. In your face. Nicely done.

Amazing!

How we bung a camera onto a scope and see such things.

You are very privileged.

Keep on learning...

That's sweet. It's kind of lucky imaging for DSOs.
With those short exposures the core comes out beautifully.

It would be interesting to see how it looked with a bit of post processing

Thanks Chris, I am not in the possession of any decent software . Here is the link if you want to have a crack. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nsbqqoy7rn...82%29.jpg?dl=0

Thanks Alex , The scary thing is , it can be improved with more data!!! Where do you stop???

Thanks Peter , I pinch myself each time I roll "Zamar" out. Indeed , I am very blessed.

Thanks Marc , The 2540 mm focal length gives a lot of magnification so I miss out on the classical wide field vista of this marvellous complex but hopefully
pick up in other area's (Y)

Wow! The core is sublime. You have a great scope there.
