what is this?

About 55-60mm long. Allowed me to get as close as I wanted. Sat motionless
on my car tyre for about an hour. I assume that it is a moth of some sort,
All cicadas I have seen have transparent wings.

Cheers Nikolas.

Thanks Ron; I did google images of Western Australian moths, got oodles of
images, but none of them looked even similar colour and pattern wise to
this one. Obviously I didn't dig deeply enough.
