Attached pic is the first process of a run of images that I took today. The Sun was quite active at a bout midday today with a lovely big prom, lots of smaller ones, some large filaments and some amazing white areas around the active region just below and to the right of centre.
Anyway I like the image so have shared.

As a visual guy, to get a result like this is quite something! Not anything like the really good solar stuff we see here but I was pleased.
I am sort of assuming that the "white" areas are related to the aurora we have had the the last couple of days. Certainly it was short lived, it had faded within an hour or so of my imaging it.
