Saturn with bright moons - 11 Jun 2015

Hi everyone,

Last week's Saturn + satellites taken in good seeing conditions with TeleVue 2x Barlow (F20).

Planet image is a WinJUPOS composite of four three minute drizzle stacks 1500 frames each. 12 minute total capture time (10:42 pm to 10:54 pm LT).

Moons image is a drizzle stack of 80 frames taken over 3 minutes (11:06 pm to 11:09 pm LT).

Quite happy with resolution on these.. polar hexagon is nicely resolved and there are some blemishes detectable at high latitudes.

Thanks for looking,

Sebastian

Thanks Adrian and Krishan, it's true.. steady seeing makes all the difference

Here's a original moon capture pic and a link to raw stack animation.
