The colour balance is not quite right Fernando (too much green), did you have the correct de-bayer settings in your stacking program?

Apart from that it will be a very good image.

Cheers
Bill

Thanks Bill. I use DSS default parameters. Should I change something?

In DSS, under options (bottom left corner), go into RAW/FITS settings and select the Canon 50D. As shown with the attached screen grab.

Hi Bill, Thanks again. I had already selected the Cannon 50D in the RAW/Fits settings. I guess I did something during the processing. I will try again.

That is quite an improvement on your first processing attempt. Correct star colours are starting to show now. You're certainly heading in the right direction and producing nice round stars after 2 minutes unguided is quite an achievement. Your polar alignment method is obviously working very well. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you all for your comments. I will keep trying.

By the way, after much thought and research, I decided to go for a better mount. I am "part time retired" and life is really short... Got a AP MACH1GTO. It will be home by the end of the coming January. I am really excited and looking forward to the new mount.

Wiil keep the Atlas Pro for visual, mainly...

Regards, Fernando
