Observatory Fiberglass Molds

After 2 1/2 years of mould making and producing the parts for my Observatory, I have the moulds for sale. They are in very good condition (used once!) and would suit an enterprising astronomer who would like to build their own Observatory. I believe all the hard work has been done building the molds (by me ) - the layup of the dome parts is relatively straight forward.
I am asking $1850 for all the Fiberglass Molds. As you can see the design is meant to sit on your own choice of walls. My Base is 2400mm x2400mm.
The dome diameter is a shade under 2400mm. The square base gives a lot of usable internal space.

Enquiries welcome. PM and/or ask for my mobile if you want to chat.

Width of the slit is about 700 mm wide. Depends on where you want to cut the hole out. I designed the shutter system so that the OTA can view from horizon to past zenith.without the need for swing open doors.. My shutter setup rolls on aluminium rails.... it "over centres" on opening and closing so it it only needs one small rope and pulley to open and close the shutter.

I am offering free delivery inside Tasmania. If you live in the southern states I can deliver in person on the back of my flat tray ute if you pay my costs for petrol and fares across Bass Straight.

Hi Bruce,

Looks fantastic. I've just put in for work in Tas so if it comes off (a bit of a long shot) I will definitely be in touch!
