Thanks for the post Norm, that was quite interesting, with a lot of footage I had seen before.

It did answer one question, something I long suspected, as it showed the complete bit of footage rather than a clever bit of editing. So, thanks for posting.

Last year, I saw these capsules at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington and some of the technology used in the space program at the Steve F Udvar-Hazy Centre, in Virginia.

Thanks for the post, most interesting.

Cheers Pete

Thanks Pete,

Glad you enjoyed it. I still find it truly amazing what was achieved and accomplished during that period of time. The conviction of JFK and those that made it happen is still remarkable.

I just wish our government/corporations could develop the same insight and fortitude to achieve great things.

I look at the announcement of the 2nd airport for Sydney - something like 30 years in the making, another 10 years min. to have it built - to be honest, way overdue and embarrassing to say the least.

I just hope they make it a truly amazing airport, state of the art, something to showcase to the rest of the world, as opposed to being something mediocre. Surely we can have one up on Changi airport - or is that too much wishful thinking ?

I love The Space Movie, used to own it on VHS and only recently purchased it on DVD. Also love the music by Mike Oldfield that goes along with it so well.
