Lunt LS230

Hi there solar buffs, Bill here.

(Admins are welcome to remove this is it's not appropriate here.)

I'm really not sure what to say about this, but our showroom here in Mitcham is being dwarfed by a Lunt LS230. This is the biggest production solar scope made so far - ever.

Technically, it's for sale although I'm not going to put it into the classifieds section. It's so specialised that I'm not seriously expecting to move it quickly!

I've been told that there were only ten of them made, which doesn't surprise me. A nine-inch refractor is big and heavy. After all, it's nearly too heavy for the Celestron CGX-L it's sitting on!

I guess what I'm saying is that if you want to have a look at it, come past. It's a bit of a monolith.
