Spiral Galaxy NGC1566 The Spanish Dancer

I would have liked to have gotten more data for this one but you work with what you get sometimes.

I have always liked this galaxy. Its got some very faint extensions on its spiral arms.

CDK17 FLI Microline 16200.

The faint extended spiral arms have come out well there Greg. The blue/pink and gold colours in the galaxy work very well. Nice one

That's a beautiful target Greg, can you get more data?
Be well worth it as it's looking really nice

Yes its the bane of astro, weather, time etc. But still it turned out well enough for now and I can add to it next year.

Thanks Simmo.

Luminance 160 mins, red green and blue 80 minutes each. Yes that little distorted spiral is interesting. Its amazing how many odd shaped galaxies there are.
