KP 6 and trending up

Surely this means aurora for even middle latitudes

Thanks for the heads up. Just had a quick look along the end of the street (Launceston Tas), may be happening but it's difficult to tell without taking some shots. I'll give it another 45 minutes and take the camera along.

Any luck, anyone?the index seems to have dropped back to around 4,so not likely anyone outside of Tassie would see something....

We got down to Sugars beach too late but there was some red still in the sky at KP4. Cloud was low on the horizon and I am sure we would have seen activity at 35 degrees S if the cloud had not been present. Another KP6 missed due to cloud.
