When everything works

Hi all,
A nice clear night, 2 star alignment done and goto good, object in camera field with only slight adjustment for composure. Guiding running smoothly without tweaking balance etc. Imaging run started, 60 x 2min subs on M83, still tracking and guiding nicely albeit the seeing is a bit soft. On to the Triffid neb , seeing is now better so I captured 32 x 2min subs (before the dew started to take hold). A nice bonus here was a recent installation of a network range extender and a copy of teamviewer so I could control the guiding and camera from the desktop in the comfort of inside the house.

32 x 120sec subs @ iso1600, unmodded canon 1100d, 10' f4.7 newt, guided with Orion TOAG and zwo120mc on Heq5 (pier mounted)

Looks amazing Rick, it's definitely a keeper. Remote imaging is king during the cold season.

Thanks guys, there's so many variables to get into sync when imaging it's nice to have them all fall into place at the same time.

The next step will be to get a roof over my pier so I can leave everything setup.

Also on my to do list is astro mod my DSLR, a dedicated astro cam is still a bit of an expensive luxury item for my needs.

The teamviewer remote control is great though, there's been so many nights that I've left auto guiding alone only to find the dog has bumped something or a rouge cloud has appeared to ruin 30mins of subs.
